Are You Breaking Out the Toolbox? Here Are the Rooms Homeowners Remodel the Most
Where do you spend most of your time when you’re at home?
According to a recent survey from Houzz, a design and remodeling website, two rooms that are getting the most hits when it comes to remodeling, are the kitchen and the bathroom.
In 2018, homeowners spent $14,000 renovating their kitchens – that spending surged 27% from 2017. Homeowners also spent quite the cash to update their guest and master bathrooms – jumping 17% from last year.
Who is doing most of the remodeling, you ask?
It looks like Baby Boomers and Gen Xers are currently in the lead, as they’ve had more time to save in order to create their perfect version of their space.
While it does look like remodeling projects have increased, it looks like homeowners are spending less fixing up their homes than they have before. Overall, spending has been cut by 5% to 20%.
Are you set to start any remodeling projects this year?
