What is FSBO?
Real Estate is full of acronyms – and yes, FSBO is one of them.
FSBO stands for “for sale by owner,” which means that the homeowners are not hiring a real estate agent to help them sell their home. And, FSBO homes aren’t sold the same way as an agent-sold house.
Where are FSBO homes listed?
Sellers can’t put their home on the multiple listing service (MLS) – only licensed real estate agents can list homes on the MLS. There are sites that sellers can pay to place an ad, if they wish to showcase their home that way.
If you have a buyer’s agent, can you still purchase a FSBO home?
Of course! Your real estate agent will have your best interest in mind.
Purchasing a FSBO home isn’t a problem – but it’s important that you have the right representation to help guide you through your home purchasing journey and that you understand the contract.
