Community Spotlight – Albany, Oregon

Albany, Oregon – “The Gem of the Willamette Valley” – is perfectly placed in the heart of Oregon farmland and beautiful Oregon history. With four historic districts that include styles from the 1840s through the late 1920s, you’re bound to get swept away from its elegant charm.

Also known for being in the rare metals industry, Albany boomed with bustling employment. From its historic past, to its current thriving community, Albany offers activities for the outdoors, opportunities to enjoy farm-to-table cuisine, and plenty of occasions to celebrate and familiarize yourself with the local townspeople.

Only an 8-minute drive from the Historic Carousel & Museum, you’ll find our AmeriTitle Albany office!

Escrow Assistant, Becky McKibben, explains what she loves most about her local community: “I like getting to know so many of the clients while helping them with their purchase and then their sale. We develop long-term relationships and get to share in their successes.” Becky has helped serve on the Jefferson Rural Fire Department Governing Board for the past 20 years. She also serves as a director for Pioneer Cemetery and is in charge of cleaning and maintenance.

Our newest member to the team, Escrow Assistant, Sarah Mejia, touches on why she loves the industry and the people of Albany: “I’ve seen small acts of kindness that have touched lives. It provides a sense of fulfillment for me and continually inspires me to pay it forward. The teamwork involved in the industry is what I love – we work together with all parties towards a common goal – to provide the best transaction experience possible. I love facing challenges and overcoming them to make it to the finish line.”

The entire AmeriTitle Albany branch is incredibly involved in the community and enjoys helping make a difference! Our Business Development Manager, Sarah Steen, serves on the board for the Greater Albany Rotary Club as well as being a board member for the Community Before & After School Program (known as CAP) and a board member for the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce, while also serving as an ambassador for Jackson Street Youth Shelter! Sarah also helps organize and ring bells annually for the Salvation Army with the Rotary club.

Family Tree Relief Nursery is one that both our Albany and Lebanon branches participate in. Lebanon’s Escrow Department Supervisor, Leesa Adams, is the current board chair; the group volunteers and sponsors a lot together because it positively impacts both counties!

In February, Sarah helps the Rotary club put on one of the most attended fundraising events in Albany that AmeriTitle helps sponsors! They host live music with a feast of crab, pork, and vegetarian options with all the fixings. Last year was cancelled due to Covid, but they are planning their event this year!

AmeriTitle’s Albany office is proud to serve the title and escrow needs of the communities they’re a part of. Give a quick shout out to our AmeriTitle Albany Branch on Facebook!
