However, if it is, the issue could cause major headaches whenever it’s discovered.
Overpricing can be bad in more ways than one. As we said, working with a good agent will help you maximize your return. However, get ready to get real regarding your listing price. Starting high may seem like a good idea – and it still is in some cases – but it can also backfire. When a home is overpriced, buyers’ agents may avoid bringing their buyers to view it, or they might use the overpriced listing as a comparison property to make another listing look like a good deal for the money.
Curb appeal and other first impressions matter. We’ll write more on making sure the exterior of your home shines as spring approaches. But buyers must always see your home at its best – inside and out. This means removing many personal items and investing in small upgrades that should pay big dividends.
