AmeriTitle Super Star – Seth Stroud
The next AmeriTitle Super Star truly shines wherever he is – including on the dance floor! (More on that in a second.) Our next honoree is Seth Stroud. Seth is a Business Development Representative for both our Coos Bay and Brookings, OR, branches. He’s been part of our team for a year and a half and has a total of four years of experience in the industry.
Seth’s favorite part of the job? All of it, he jokes, before discussing the joy that comes with forming new connections each day, while also highlighting the valuable work his title and escrow colleagues do for fellow real estate professionals. “I always say it takes a special breed to do escrow. It can be fast-paced and challenging, but that’s part of what makes it so rewarding,” Seth says. “No two days are ever the same. Every transaction is different, every person is different, and that keeps things interesting!”
Seth is heavily involved in the local business community as well. He’s the chair of the Affiliate Group of the Coos County Board of REALTORS®, active with multiple local chambers of commerce and a member of both the Coos Bay-North Bend Rotary and the Bay Area Kiwanis. It was because of this community involvement that Seth recently discovered he’s good at swing dancing. This ability wasn’t completely out of nowhere – he has been known to bust out the “worm” move from time to time.
“I recently found out I can dance, or at least swing dance, well enough to win ‘Dancing with the Bay Area Stars!’ It was such a fun experience and definitely pushed me out of my comfort zone in the best way possible,” he said.
When he’s not at work, you may find Seth kayaking, hiking, spending time with his family – which includes two younger sisters, ages 6 and 7 – or playing disc golf. He also recently started running. “I love the Oregon Coast! It will forever and always be my home. There’s so much to enjoy here, from the mountains and creeks to the dunes, lakes and beaches, and I try to take advantage of it all. “
Instead of naming a specific person worthy of admiration, Seth chooses to highlight all those “who show up every day and give their best, even when things are hard.” This undoubtedly includes some of his co-workers, partners and customers.
“One phrase that has always stuck with me is, ‘Show up and show out.’ Whether it’s someone at work, a family member or someone in the community, that quiet consistency and integrity goes a long way,” Seth says.
