AmeriTitle Super Star – Joey Loya

It’s time to introduce you to the next AmeriTitle Super Star, though if you’re in Twin Falls, ID, you’ve probably already met him.

Joey Loya, an Escrow Assistant in Twin Falls, is approaching his one-year anniversary with our great team here. Joey has 14 years of overall experience in real estate marketing, which explains why he made this fun meet-and-greet video for social media when he started with our AmeriTitle branch in Twin Falls.

Joey says he loves meeting new people – making real estate a perfect fit for him – and has quickly learned that there are multiple aspects of escrow that he appreciates. “I enjoy the systematic nature of escrow,” he says. “The drama of a funding day has also become an adrenaline hit for me, too.”

One thing to know about Joey is that he’s bilingual, so he’s ready to explain escrow to our customers and partners in two languages – English and Spanish. He’s also an ambassador with the South Central Idaho Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Co-chair of the Twin Falls Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and the founder of the Twin Falls Silent Book Club. He also takes part in local crochet and camera clubs.

Another community role that Joey embraces is being on the board of trustees of the Twin Falls Public Library. His goal? To make libraries more accessible to the community so they’re “more than a place to whisper and turn in books late,” he jokes.

Other hobbies of Joey’s include spending time with his partner, Rich, who is also part of the local real estate community, listening to a good audio book or finding the next community cause or obscure activity that deserves his attention. “I’m passionate about supporting community events, (exploring) new hobbies or deep-diving into a rabbit hole, basically, wherever the latest hyper fixation takes me,” Joey says. In fact, one time in college, he got focused on finally teaching himself to swim after watching the Olympics.

When asked who he admires most, Joey has a list of seven people deserving of that recognition. These people include his parents, sister, nieces/nephews and Rich. He says his parents taught him the value of hard work, while his sister keeps him grounded because he always wants to make her proud. Being an uncle and seeing youthful curiosity first-hand makes Joey want to make his community a better place, and he thanks Rich for his wholehearted support.

“These seven people are my why, my reason,” Joey says. “Without them, I’d probably be a couch potato doom-scrolling my way through life. But because of them, I strive to be better, to do good, and to stay connected to what matters.”

Now that you’ve gotten to know Joey, give him a shout-out on the Twin Falls AmeriTitle Facebook Page. If you’re local, you’ll undoubtedly see him in our Twin Falls branch or around town soon. Thank you, Joey, for all that you do to help your customers, colleagues and the community!
