AmeriTitle Super Star – Melisa Walter
Our next AmeriTitle Super Star is Melisa Walter, a Title Assistant in our The Dalles, Oregon branch! If you’ve worked with Melisa before, you know she loves her job and her family, and those two things have often intertwined.
Just how long has that journey been? Nearly 20 years! “I started in June of 2005 and was in Escrow until November of 2013, then left to be home after my third child was born. In January of 2015, I returned and joined the Title team,” Melisa says.
One of the things Melisa appreciates about her current role is the opportunity to play detective for everyone counting on The Dalles team to get them to the finish line. “I enjoy the research aspect of what I do… finding all of the necessary items needed for a title exam, so whichever Title Officer takes the file to examine, I have as many pieces as possible for them to produce the file quicker for our client.”
Throughout her AmeriTitle career, Melisa has done a little bit of everything. That versatility pays off in her personal life, too. In addition to being a mother of three, she’s also the do-everything operations manager for her husband’s off-road truck racing activities.
“When my husband races, I am the social media and truck tracking coordinator. I run the radio and the race satellite tracking, and keep people posted on the status in real time via live feeds and social media posts,” Melisa says.
Outside of the office, Melisa cherishes the time with her three children (19, 16 and 12). “It’s been a joy watching them grow up, play sports and pursue a variety of hobbies,” Melisa says. She also enjoys spending time maintaining her yard and listening to all kinds of music.
When asked who she admires most, Melisa turns the spotlight outward. “I am blessed to be surrounded by many wonderful people in my family and in my life. They are all kind, loving and supportive.”
Thank you, Melisa, for all that you do for your AmeriTitle family — as well as those who are counting on you at home. We’re glad you are part of your local branch’s success every day! If you need title and escrow assistance anywhere in the Columbia River Gorge, our branch in The Dalles is ready to help!
