Our Escrow Officers are your key to a smooth closing!
Happy National Homeownership Month! When you choose your local AmeriTitle branch for your closing, you get a team of dedicated professionals committed to ensuring your file is clear to close, and your property can change hands.
While it takes many people working together for a smooth experience, there’s one group you and your clients will deal with the most. We’re talking about our wonderful Escrow Officers. An Escrow Officer has two jobs: making sure your deal gets to the finish line and communicating with you throughout that journey.
Here are three main roles of your talented Escrow Officer:
Your Transaction Coordinator. From your accepted offer to the Closing Day, your Escrow Officer keeps all moving parts on track. They serve as a neutral point of contact between you, your lender, your agent and everyone else.
Your Title Verifier. For you to close, we must confirm the property is actually yours to buy. Your Escrow Officer works with others in our Title Department to confirm a clear title – or get it to that state – so the sale moves forward. Even if they don’t dive into the title work themselves, it’s up to them to make sure everything is good to go.
Your Paperwork Pro. We say this a lot. But it’s always worth the reminder. Transactions come with a lot of documents. Your Escrow Officer makes sure everything is prepared, accurate and ready to sign. Once closing is complete, they also handle filing the right documents with the appropriate government offices.
Do you have a favorite escrow officer from your local branch? Give them a digital shout out or let them know next time you’re around an AmeriTitle closing table! We’re here to help you succeed all summer long!
